Before you switch trace stores
LangSmith data retention, and getting traces out of other tools
Updated
A trace store is where an agent's history sits, and most of them say little about how long you can still get it back once you stop paying.
Ask about my agent logs 6 of the 19 agent platforms we read write that they will not train on what you send. Tell us where your traces sit and we will write back about yours, as a licence, a closing company's sale, or an introduction through your adviser.
LangSmith's export window
LangChain's terms let a customer export its data from cloud deployments during the subscription or within thirty days after it, on written request and subject to the customer's configured retention period. On request after termination it will delete all customer data within thirty days.

The rest of the trace stores
Arize says the customer solely and exclusively owns its data, and Vellum says you remain the sole owner of what you send it. Neither document we read names a period for taking traces out after the contract ends.

What they keep after you go
Arize keeps ownership of de-identified or aggregated data derived from customer data, and Galileo keeps a right, during and after the term, to use customer data to train its algorithms internally.
